Is there really an Easter parade,.....I think not especially on TV?... but more just the people all dressed up walking down the avenue with their hats, etc,....
In Buffalo the big day is the day after Easter. Dyngus Day. With parades, party's and celebrations.

Playing fr\or dinner at the club. Normally don't play on Sunday, except for holidays. Turned down a job at a huge old church playing nylon string. Did it for years, but most of the members I did it for are gone.

I just got a call to sub as a drummer at a non Denominational Christian church. I’ve worked there before and it’s always a big production. They put me in a drum booth, all the drums of are mic and I have an in ear monitor system. There’s no holding back at all, playing at full rock band level with a light show and synchronized videos too. You almost feel as though your in a night club! So different from the Catholic tradition I was brought up in and continue to practice.

Got a gig on Saturday afternoon ... Playlist includes songs about April and 'fools', even though April Fool's has passed ... As was said, there are only two Easter songs ... Last songs on the list are: What a Wonderful World Peter Cottontail Easter Parade He's Got The Whole World in His Hands When the Saints Go Marching In
Other than that, I am an Usher in our Parish, so I have been there last night and tonight, and will be for Easter Vigil tomorrow night, and then Mass on Sunday ... And at Easter dinner at our house, I will enjoy a nice Martini and some wine, neither of which I've had since Lent began ... Happy Easter, friends ...
