I'll probably wait until after the weekend to install just in case there are glitches, as there often are with new software.
It's great that Korg has done this AGAIN, at no cost. Some of this things will be huge as far as real time operations, not to mention the new styles, sets and sounds. Can't wait to try it.

Keep in mind tough, teh new release according to the Korg Forum is still bug infested. So if i was a gigger, i would hold out till the bug patch arrives, which should not take Korg that long

Yes, as usual there are some loose ends for them to tie together. I didn't see much that would affect me, but I had already planned to wait for a while.
Some of the new stuff looks great though. I particularly will use the Keyset Lock...maybe new e.q. presets, new styles and sounds, etc.

Starting to find that some of the glitches were operator errors.

Well, you will have to PAY for Genos 2, another $5,000. or so. The new versions of PA4X is free for owners.

And the masses of Yamaha players will be happy to do so & more
& are chomping at the bit for the NEW genos 2 release as always
after all it will be the latest and greatest right?

I don't plan two years ahead. I don't even buy green bananas.

There is a huge update comming for Genos too, will be anounced at the musikmesse, atleast thats what Germen forums where many dealers visit indicate..

I don't know if it's just me but, the drum kits and the patches sound more polished, as far as bugs, although I really don't use the pads I don't really see any problems with my update other then one time it did show the clock wrong but not anymore.

I do notice the entire keyboard feels and sounds so much better, I really like the new Interface colors, and it seems the Vocal Harmony sounds so much better.

The difference folks are hearing is the improved MAXX EQ.

I have a locked set that is already set to the special set MAXX EQ preset so that isn't the case for my setup, my ears are telling me more beefy everything. "WERE'S THE BEEF", in the PA4X LOL

Any news for the Pa1000 update?

Can someone post the new MAXX EQ setting so I could see if I can incorporate it into my Pa900?

Tony, from what I remember, the 900's EQ section is different from the MAXX in the 4x. Did I remember that wrong? (too lazy to actually check)

I'm not real sure but I think my pa900 does not have maxx EQ.
