Wow, it’s been a long time since I did this. Both songs were done live on a Technics keyboards. In this world was done on a Kn7000 about 12 years ago in my studio. Quiet Nights was done about 18 years ago on a Kn2000. It has variations on the theme and changes in tempo and style.

Quiet nights is the one I listened to. Very, very nice, John.
John's rendition...did you notice how he "worked" the rhythms. If I'm correct, his first variation change was at 1:35 and then he went on to break up the song with different rhythms. And absolute excellent, tasty use of the "fills" (I call them drum breaks).
So many players just leave the drum track running and focus on playing the melody. John's versatile use of the rhythm track put life into this tune. It kept my interest going right up to the end.

John, That was really a treat. You sounded really good. Nice vocals and tasty instrumental solos. I will have to dig up your CD's you sent me a number of years ago so I can enjoy listening to you more.

I agree Harold,....like you hope it's soon also. It's what we do now that really counts. This way we can compare the KN7000 to today's models.... should be interesting.

John ... BRAVO ... as Harold said you've been holding out on us ... classic singing voice ... please stop being shy and get in front of the mic some more ...
And you make the Kn series SHINE .. I'm going to have to get in front of my Kn6000 more often ...
Do you play "Green Dolphin Street" ? ... I used to love the change in styles from Latin to Swing in that tune ... haven't played it in far too long a time ...

Donny, when I sold my last Kn7000 I gave all of my settings, I never thought I would buy another one. My throat is dry from years of flux, and my Parkinson’s is affecting my hands., but I went back to my piano to get some strength back to my hands. But all is not lost, the bright side is that my shaking hands are good for scrambling eggs in the morning, and holding my hair dryer. (smile)
I will be recording very soon, no giving up here. John C.

Sparky, I came down with Parkinson about two years ago. Two weeks ago, I found a support group, a good place for information. The leader said that if I could give one pill to help fight Parkinson, it would be a pill filled with exercise and movement, it is by far the best.
I try to get to the gym about 5 days a week. On those days I shake less and sleep better. I am going to see a movement specialist this week. I let you know if I found something of value.
