If you are not using the line outs on the keyboard. You can use them to go to the recorder. Takes a different cable though. smile
Gary, does the 3000 have aux outputs?

hey, this is great! I've got two of the heaviest gurus in arranger land supporting my comeback. I bought one of Gary's old 3000's a year ago & he's been helping me figure my way around it for some time. And now I'm buying a piece of equipment from the master Don Mason himself and he's throwing in his personnel support. Man it's great being a part of such a helpful community!

I recall the PSR-2000 having line outs, which were RCA plugs on the back of the keyboard. Not sure about the 3000 though. I always used the headphone jack for recording using the Zoom H2 and monitoring with the headphone out of the H2.

Not sure how to set this up, as the Harmonizer will be external. Can you run the output from the harmonizer back into the mic/line input on the keyboard? Then everything will go to the main outputs and/or the headphones. I've never tried that, but I think that is the way you do it isn't it Gary?

Don, with my current rig, I connect my mic to the TC Helicon Harmony-M, then fire the TC output into the mic/line-in jack of the keyboard. Works fantastic.

Gary cool

O.K. Thanks. A regular 1/4 inch cable will work then.

The problems occurs in trying to Sync send/receive the VH box via Midi settings to your left hand chords,
...it can be tricky on some KB's..and even some will work just by recognizing the KEY your singing in without midi but there could be spotty tracking in that use.Making it work on every start up is essential.
good luck.

I never have to touch it once it is set up.
And the VK does work without midi, although I didn't use it that way.

Same here - once it was set up, I never had to touch it again.
