Heh, among other reasons, that's why we moved from a house with 90' of driveway to one with 20'. Didn't do anything for temperatures and windchills, though.

We are actually getting some mixed freezing stuff here. Temp is 32. Won't last long.

Why are you all complaining about the cold weather ? .... you know its gonna happen year after year, .... stop complaining and play music it'll make you feel better....

DITTO! Forecast is for 3 to 5 inches of wet snow here on Monday, changing to freezing rain on Tuesday. I visited my boat yesterday, but too cold to do any of the work necessary to get ready for spring splash.

Gary, do you shrink wrap it for the Winter?

Shrink wrapping a sailboat is extremely expensive, ranging $3,000 to $4,500 for a boat my size (33-feet). I made some supports from 1/2-inch PVC pipe and covered them with a tarp. The tarp only costs $25 and the pipe is good for a decade or more.

This has been a relatively mile winter, but our worst snows usually come in February and early March. The boat is scheduled to go back in the water in mid April.
