Geeze, I must have lost 3 or 4 Sundays to Eagles games this year, and with next weeks "stupid"bowl, I'll loose another one.
Stinkin' ballgames ruin my Sunday crowd. I guess I should be grateful that I still have a 4 night schedule at a venue 1/10 mile from home, and I can stay setup, so that's cool, but still - it burns my butt to think of all the $$ these games have cost me this season ... and for what? Sigh ... sorry - had to get that off my chest.

I feel better already. I'm going to take a 3 day vaca at the shore, and get some R&R with a "special" lady (not a redhead, but willing to dye for me) I met at Christmas time. (breathe, Dave ... just breathe)

It has to be a real "downer" to have to compete with Pro Football games. Sounds like you have found your match, though. I'm not real keen on the Stupid Bowl either. No Invocation and a bunch of unpatriotic bozos on the sidelines. Then all that massive dose of BS at halftime. Try to imagine how little I care anymore.

We have a very good food market that we shop at ... On football Sundays, the place is filled with Patriot fans getting 'goodies' for the game ... and on playoff days?!? ... FUHGEDDABOUDIT !!!

I haven't had a TV subscription for over 2 years. I stream reruns on Netflix, borrow a password for Hulu for "This is Us" and until "Game of Thrones" comes back on - TV is not a big part of my world. My Fios bill is $39 a month just for high speed internet. I'll watch the anthem on You Tube after it's all done.

I stream Hulu live tv and Acorn tv with Roku stick. No contract cancel anytime no penalty. Outdoor antenna for PBS and other locals.

CBS, who is airing the game, only shows the anthem on "special occasion" NFL games. That bothers me. They don't during regular season to avoid losing ratings due to ongoing protest controversy, using the "if a tree falls in the forest" theory. But for the big money Super bowl they will show it sung with a celebrity to get ratings. If they can show it this Sunday, they should all season long. All about the $$; and sadly they will get it for this policy of contradiction. I won't be watching anthem, half time, or game,
