I first saw this video in December, but because it was in French, I did not share it here. However, after hearing it again today, I thought it would be worthwhile to share, to show what a Genos can do in this exciting area of film scores.
Simply skip over the parts where they speak French to see the guy playing the incredible Genos, recreating famous movie scores:
Nice find Mike thanx for sharing, ....I am not surprised as in reality any arranger kb can be used for Film scores, etc, if you know what you doing.. A while back when I had the KORG Micro Arranger I recorded a film score for a dramatic thriller project a friend of mine was interested in using,.... here is a demo of the recording enjoy.
Your very welcome Eric...... you can surely use arrangers for film score music,.....and you don't have to use a TOTL unit to do it as shown in my demo. Just some talent and ingenuity & creativeness while watching the film in real time.

Wow! That was very nice and realistic, Donny! I loved the strings, and the reverb was very good, too. Hard to believe that big sound came from the small Micro Arranger!

When I have the budget, which is most of the time, I do the rough on an arranger and the final project in the traditional way, with live instruments and 8 or more tracks.
That's what separates my films from others.
Works for me. I'll hunt around here in a week or so and post a rough on arranger...a refinement on arranger, after input from the client and then the final full blown production.
The final project bills out at $1,000.00 plus a finished minute.
