I have played many "Arranger kb's" from all manufacturers through the years so far but, the Roland BK9 certainly has the Best sounding Organs I have ever heard wow!. Drawbar & Preset that give a player so many options to shape the sound perimeters. That said, With time on my hands to explore I am really enjoying the BK9. cool2

Dnj. Thank you for that...Happy memories for me as I used to see Ralph live at UK Keyboard Week. He is very friendly and nice to talk with.

Certainly does excellent keyboard demo's which encourages players to buy one.

Graham your welcome I would love to see a Ralf Schink do a KB demo,
a true master who really shows off the features of a product in special way and shows what can be done..

Dnj. Past years I have owned Korg,Roland & Yamaha. I have never had a problem learning new keyboard OS.
Yamaha forums contain the most 3rd party style downloads. Being a style player reading lead sheets these 3rd party styles give me many variations to play everyday...(with a whisky on the side...Ha!!!).

However To be able play with your ability I would only need a percussion & Bass track.

Best wishes for 2019 from the UK.

Donny, Very cool, love those organs, especially in the first demo.

What's the name of the tune at 2 minutes I know it, the name is on the tip of my tongue but just can't remember the name.

Change that I just came up with the name it's "Li'll Darlin," written by Neil Hefti.

Roland packs some incredible organ sounds..
The only hardware on a higher level is GSI/Crumar.. and the Gemini or the mojo.

And the Hammond sk and xk, the HX3 based organs as Böhm or Mag and Wersi that also use the VB3. But no arrangers if you don't consider the 1 manual organs as Böhm SE10 and Wersi OAX-1 as arrangers.
Will HX3.5 will go up to compete with Gemini with higher quiality samples beyond the low level GM sounds set that are now included? There are some claiming of that in HX3 discussions but I don't know. Does it even include any wave memory for that?

Wonder if Roland will ever make a new higher level arranger after the G-70? That will include touch screen, after touch and the complete VR organ (that would actually include the complete sound set of Atelier AT-900 too since they are hidden sounds in VR-09). Basically a 1 manual AT-900 with also about 2GB newer sound samples, 2GB of user sample memory, a good large piano sample as well as their modeling supernatural, updated styles, 384 poly (or 256 stereo poly) and at least 6 real time parts, 3 upper, 2 lower, and a manual bass part + the 3 drawbar parts separately. Since they already have all the basics to put togheter this, but of course a new operating system is needed, it probably shouldn't cost to much more than a Genos but fewer sold units would probably impact the price compared to Genos. Adding a midi bass pedal board to that and you would be ready to go.
