I live in West Palm BeachFlorida. I have a good amount of Technics keyboard knowledge, I do have some questions from time to time which are answered on this forum. I do miss the oppertunity to sit with other Kn players and exchange some of our ideas--We have a common subjects, keyboards and music. I beleive this could be an oppertunity for some good musical times.

If you have interest, post it here or send your message to my E-mail address.

Have a special day, John C.

Hi John,

I'm up in Leesburg, I did had a KN6000 but I now have a PR54 piano (not too portable) though I'd still like to do something like that sometime.

I hope you do find others a bit closer.

You provide the venue and a KN7000 and I would love to fly over (risky these days!) from the UK to Florida and meet you all - maybe play some music together....

Hi John

I lived in West Palm(Lake Worth)from 1968 until 1996,when I moved to Lake City(North Fl). I moved to Port Charlotte on the West coast of Florida in September.

I am not the technician you are,but sure enjoy my KN7000 even more than my 5000. I plan to start coming over there when my wife retires in June(someone had to work).

We will have to get together.

Later

YO JOHN,
I think we will be taking a cruise from San Francisco/San Jose in September to Fort Lauderdale. We may bring 40 or 50 people with us. Hope you have a real big house
We will fly home from there once we have worn out our welcome. Maybe we can get to see all the South Florida cats. That would be great.
See you then,
Bebop

OK this is sounding like a really good idea.

A two day Synth Zone convention in West Palm Beach Florida. Come Friday Night and leave Sunday.

Has it ever been done? I'll bet not.

Dealers could come and bring along their best deals. There could be a flea market to sell and trade instruments.

A Saturday night Dinner and Talent Show would work too.

There could be a couple of "Classes" on Saturday to help people learn their keyboards.

Who wants to chair this event? And who wants to be on the commitee?

Is this what you had in mind Bruno? Be careful what you wish for.

Heather

Maybe Bruno's dog can stay with Bebop's dog . I'm sure he has room in his 35' Motorhome.

Now the question is do you have room for maybe 50 Techies ?

Seriously, this is not a bad idea. Not only would it be a great opportunity to actually meet other forum members, it's a great opportunity to get away from this cold weather...(10 this morning in Pennsylvania)...at least for a while.

Wow,
I'm getting envious, even though hubby didn't have problems with me attending Roland User Group Meetings years back, I think he would object having to pay for me to fly from Australia To Florida for the weekend
( double haahaa)

Sure hope you guys can get it together. What a buzz for you all.

Best wishes

Hi John,

Do you happen to live in a park that has a Clubhouse you can rent for a day for a private party. I know we can at our place. It's just a thought.

I do hope it's to be on a weekend though for us working stiffs.

Take Care,
Heather

Hi Bill,
I know. Great for any Melbournite members.
I was hoping to catch up with you and Keith at Xmas. 5 or 6 of us ( out of 20)ended up with a horrid 24 hour virus on boxing day ( highly contagious)so we ended up spending the next couple of days at mum's house before we came back to sydney. Didn't want to spread it. Great family reunion it turned out to be. Poor mum was beside herself with worry.

So hopefully I may be able to catch up next time.

best wishes
Rikki

Hi everybody, I am listing everyone's comments. This is something that is going to be special, a bunch of keyboard players, sharing knowledge and enjoy music. Great!!!

1-Meet here in West Palm Beach?
2-Meet in Orlando, so those making a long trip can enjoy other things also?
3-Staying in a rental condo or motel/hotel with a large room available for our use?

I'm open, keep sending your thought s on this subject.

Playing Happy, John C.

John,

Orlando might be the best place, as most airlines use that airport and the larger city may have more facilities available.

Hi Larry,
Boxing Day is astrange name for a holiday. I think it's origins stems from charity purposes ie the Boxing of gifts to give to the less fortunate. Was done on the day after xmas. Nowadays I doubt anyone really knows why it's a celebrated holiday.

Fortunately the term Boxing Day doesn't come from

"Get In The Return Line At The Mall"

though I betcha there'd be a few potential punch ups in those long, long , queues
(haahaa)

THIS FLORIDA GET-TOGETHER MAY BE MORE
IMPORTANT/NEEDED THAN I THOUGHT.

With all that is going on with Technics, I think the people on this forum can and will keep this forum going, God willing, even better than before.

I like this forum and it's members--it's time to put forth, time to add, it's time for new ideas.

1-I will be sending Bebop some ideas that I feel might add to this forum. The ideas will be based on what I can do/add, not what eveyone else should do.It will be my contribution.

2-I'll say this gently--REQUEST--When you post, your post should be on the original subject of the post. Anything else normally dilutes the value of that post.

If I am out of line with that statement, please tell me!!!

Enjoy the day, John C.
