My update went fine, but the size of the file would suggest more than accordion chord recognition. It is all good, nonetheless.

So does every unit sold from a dealer contain latest updates, if update releases after manufacturing date? Do dealers open boxes and update before shipping (if not drop shipped)?

Interesting question. I suspect the answer could vary by dealer. I can say that if we had a brand new unit in a sealed box, we would not open the box. Some folks (I'd be one) prefer to be the first person to open the box, unwrap the plastic, etc.

Now in the case of the units that we do have that are "open box" and we offer as demo units - Yes, we have upgraded and will do so as long as we have the units "in stock."

I know that I have purchased other electronic gear in the past and the first thing that took place upon power-up (and network connection) was for the unit to "Call Home" and check for updates.

In the US? Yes. Now if a product is on the way to a dealer/customer while an OS is released, then its up to the dealer/customr to upgrade the product if they believe they will beneft from the latest release.

Thanks,
