MN is now collecting sales tax on all products purchased by Minnesotans and sent to MN. I would imagine other states are doing the same.

Recently I bought my PX560 from an on-Line retailer, outside of MN and had to pay MN sales tax. Some have told me that this will help level the playing field for MN storefronts.

If this tax translates to MN stores carrying and selling more musical items...I’m all for it. However, my experience leads me to think that this new tax will result in fewer sales in MN and in the US.

Thoughts?

That's one major reason that I stopped buying big ticket items on Amazon a couple of years ago when they finally gave in and started collecting taxes for California. However, different vendors sell on Amazon and they do not collect tax depending on where you live.
