It is on SD7, so almost certain you can on SD90. You should be able to open the MP3, call up the PDF and Save, but Ketron sometimes has a tricky way of doing things. Try calling up the PDF in Player 1, and the MP3 in Player 2 and save to Registration.
Or make a registration with the MP3 in it, THEN go to a Player and load the PDF and then Save.
I'm sure AJ knows how exactly.

* Load your Registeration
* Press PLAYER 1 to display the files in your drive
* TOUCH the file you want to link ONCE (Mp3, Pdf... etc)
* Press SAVE and touch REGISTRATION link
* Touch SAVE

But you have to make a Registration with the MP3 in it first, right?

Yes, again on the SD7. You have your choice of routing the screen view, or the PDR/Lyrics view.

No. You have to make the registration first and save. Then "link" it (already existing) to a file type of your choise (pdf, mp3, wave, mp4....etc).

O.K. I understand that. But he wants to link BOTH MP3 and PDF to the same Registration. Would that be different?

Don got the point.
Some of my registrations need to call both an MP3 and a PDF.
I tried and it only link either an MP3 or a PDF but not both at same time. It seems that you can link only one file.
Hope there's a way.

Hmmm... Got it now!

In that case, when you create the registation, just before you save, load the PDF *lyrics LED will come on*. Then save Registration so the PDF is 'inbedded' within the Reg.
Next, reload the reg ... and LINK to the MP3. Then save again.

NB: The AUDYA 4 can save up to 20 files within a Registration ... i.e.. you creaate a BLOCK registration, edit it and link to say a couple of REGISTRATIONS, styles, voices, text files, wave files, mp3 files, Midifiles ... up until you fill up 20 slots. Then SAVE as a BLOCK REGISTRATION. When you later recall this block, it will recall ALL associated files (assigned to F1-F10) on 2 pages!

Hope this helpped.

Thanks,

Hi AJ,

It didn't worked or maybe I'm missing something.

Here's the steps I did per your instructions:
1) I created a registration
2) I select player 1 and load a pdf (lyrics LED comes on)
3) I resaved the registration (pdf linked or imbedded)
4) I reload the registration
5) I select player 2 and touch once an mp3
6) I resaved the registration (mp3 linked)
7) I reload the registration, it plays only the mp3 and the pdf is not loaded or displayed. I need to push the lyric button to display it. I can lived with another button push, however here's the kicker, I created multiple registrations and whatever the last pdf linked with a registration, that's the only one will be displayed regardless what registration you loaded!
Can you or Curt do a detailed step by step procedures on this or better a video tutorial?
Thanks so much

Again, on SD7, I would have to open a text or pdf, save to registration. Then call up the registration, then touch the text file again, then save AGAIN. You may have to do it that way.

Same way, after you have the pdf linked, call up the registration, close it and call up the MP3, and save. You may have to save twice.
I think the problem is that the attachment must be showing to save permanently. AJ knows much more about it and I'm talking from memory. There is probably a shorter way.

Same result, whatever file last linked, that's the one that will show up. Seems that you can only link one file.

Reason I like to link text/PDF is to further simplify my setup by eliminating my lyrics tablet.

Hey Jim - I'm right where you are. The "last link" wins. Read Don's comment but didn't work for me (yet). Let me run and get a cold one and mess with it some more. Stay tuned.

OK - Got it to work. Followed the steps above with two comments:

1 - Make sure that the text file and the MP3 file have the same name (except for the file extension).
2- In my case, the lyric (I'm using a PDF) didn't display until after I hit start.

Check items above, give it another shot and let me know if that helped?

Donny - You lost me. Ask that question again, please. I did follow the steps mention in this thread but I did find that the file names need to match. I did use a PDF vs. a TXT file. Is that the question? I'd be happy to try it again using a TXT file instead. HELP - Not sure I understand that question?

Ok, finally it worked now when I put the mp3 and PDF files in the same folder!
However, if I only link a PDF file in a registration (using styles only) I need to turn off the player and turn on the lyrics buttons. If not the styles will not play. Also, the lyrics occupies the whole screen that you can't access the screen-based arranger controls like reintro, to end, etc. Anyway, this is getting exciting though and thank you Curt and Don for your help. I'm confident we're going to resolve the other issues.

That the way I had to do it, but I forgot a step or too.
If you touch the screen when lyrics are displayed, it reduces the size and shows the controls down the right side of the screen. At least that's the way the SD7 worked with text files.

Found out pdf files occupies the whole screen and you can't resize it. Txt files can be sized into full screen or smaller that you can access the other arranger functions on the screen.
