I will be using my Roland A-800 Pro midi keyboard with my Ketron SD90. Roland does not make a bag tor the A-800 Pro which is 40 inches by 10 inches in size so I bought a Gator Slim bag for it. The bag is about 4 inches to deep and I wanted to know if anyone has customized a bag so a smaller keyboard would fit without flopping around in it and if so, what material did you use to fill in the extra space.

Yep, just fill the extra space with Ethafoam, which is fairly inexpensive and used to line keyboard cases years ago to make them more rigid, while at the same time, providing protection for the keyboard.

Build a narrow box out of cardboard that fills in the extra space ... it’ll hold pedals, cables, etc

Donny,
That Yamaha bag is only 34 inches wide. The Roland A-800 pro is 40 inches wide.

I have a Levy’s bag that fits it perfectly. Model #EM517DX. I have my Edirol PCR-800 in it. E-mail me if you want pics. (Still haven’t figured out how to put pics on this forum!!)

If this works... here is the picture on how the Levy's bag works for that keyboard.

Here is the latest keyboard case/bag I have purchased..

I originally bought the slim 76 model but the BK9 was a bit too tight (did not fit).

I returned it for the same model but standard size.. The BK9 fit with a little extra room, and the G70 fit perfect... so I could use it for either keyboard..

It weighs less than 10 pounds, and maybe the best made keyboard bag..

My G70 in my other Gator case weighs 20 pounds more than in this new Gator bag..

Fran,
I won't need a larger bag because I will be using the A-800 pro with my new Ketron SD90 Module and I already have a larger case that I seldom use.
