and for you arranger players with a module BK7..?

cool2 headphone

what I like is it's simple and sounds great with a module of some kind, BK7, SD40,SD60,...that said it let's you concentrate on your playing skills and if your a singer vocals too, ...has enough bread and butter sounds to do just about anything too. cool2

The second video .. they are using the BK7m as a drum machine only..
The player is playing all the parts .. 2 manuals and bass pedals..

Thanx Fran I thought so the BK7 really always sounded great and LIVE!....love the simplicity of playing with just the organ and accomp module cool2
...it really let's YOU BE THE PLAYER instead of worrying about all the other fluffy crap in an arrangement... I really like these kinds of setups for home bedroom player use..
Hmmmmmm I better stop writing before I start shopping...
just sayin. coffee

Lovely... botvideo’s

He 2nd one make me wonder why there are not more arranger modules..
They are just an awesome tool o expandd organ/digital piano/accordeon.. in so many ways..

The bk7 has been obsolete now for quite some time.
Which only leaves ketron as a module choice..

Bachus I must politely disagree. BK-7m is still considered a current product, and not obsolete by any means. SD40 on the other hand is like a unicorn. Never saw one in person, not many places you can buy one, perhaps only one person in the USA who can fix if it has a failure. Major unannounced changes in OS updates, such as changes to chord fingering(!), see below:

http://www.synthzone.com/forum/ubbthread...with#Post391871

And then it was quickly orphaned by the SD60/90. Believe me I read the Ketron forum pretty closely when this module was new. I personally can't stomach the risk associated with their products. Others may disagree but AFAIC, caveat emptor. A shame really, because I do agree that there should be more choices in arranger modules.

First off, Roland hasn’t produced a single bk-7 since they closed Roland Italy(info from former Roland Italy employee).. so what they are selling currently seems to be old stock..

Next to, th sd90 does nor Orphan the SD40, the SD40 is still the extreme lightweight ketron arranger module, priced €1700 here in europe.. its comparable in size to the bk7.

The SD90, is its big brother, its atleast twice the size, and twice the weight of the sd40, and comes with a few high end features not available on the sd40.. but both have their own place in Ketrons assortment..

Yhe problem is that if you base your opinion on what you read on the internet, you generally find all of the not so good things as thats what people tend to dicuss on the internet... while not getting the possitive part ...

Currently there are 3 people selling Keyron in the US...
- Frank..
- AJ..
-IMmusic (related to Wersi USA)

All 3 are part of the synthzone community, and known to be trustworthy and reliant.. i wish we had 3 such reliable shops in Holland... glad we have one single Ketron dealer.. and offcourse Musik Store in Germany, which is a huge shop that delivers in Holland, but i never buy at these big shops as often service is unpersonal and not as good as from small dedicated dealers..

The BK7m is made in China; Italy has nothing to do with the manufacture of it.

Orla is old, if you want an older module that stood time reasonable and has great Organ sounds, you might want tomlook into the Wersi OAS EX1

Just pointing out that though they are not currently sold new stock is still out there for anyone interested. The Orla XM300 and 500 were introduced around 2013. I always preferred Ketron over them, using sd4 to augment right hand sounds currently. An SD7/60 is looking better and better to me as an all in one solution (the sd60 doesn't have enough over the sd7 of what I would use for more $$)..but I like to wait until stability is proven when it comes to Ketron.

I've got a Wersi Pegasus 2+ module...old but some good string sounds..
