Yeah, Willie! About the only Country singer I like (well, I do like Kelsea Ballerini's legs smile ). Oh, and Don Mason, of course (his performance, not his legs smile ).

Your very welcome ....My point is how as a performer you need to connect with people and that's what it's all about....

One of the all time greats for sure. He also has the honor of having one of the oldest bands around. His sister, who plays piano with him, is 87. Willie himself is 85 and the drummer (Paul English) is between the two in age if I recall. So there is hope for all of us seniors. smile

Willie is only one year older than me... but musically, he had a 50 year "head-start" and I'll never be able to catch up. LOL! (In my dreams!) He is one of the most prolific song-writers ever and most of his catalogue is multi-genre... not just "country."

What I like most about him, other than his talent, is his down-to-earth attitude and respect for his fellow man. He often stopped off in Texarkana to visit my Co-writing friend's father, a popular Radio Show Host (we used to call them Dee Jays) and they would Jam into the night at the Hackworth home... as did many of the Nashville crowd at that time. Even Elvis and the Colonel.
