Hi
Found this by an 'accident', and I've been watching and listening to ChromaticPlayer Paul's videos.
Like his smooth way of playing, hopefully some of you will enjoy listen as well.
Direct link to the video page, many lovely songs:

and here is an old hit that I asume many of you use to play:

Yeah, I have an old Piano accordeon, but I've tried both B-Griff and C-Griff,
as also called Svedish or Norwegian System in Scandinavia.
Maybe add a chromatic Roland to use with my BK7-m will give some
new spirit to my everyday now when be full time retard.... I mean retired. wink

This guy sounds fantastic and makes the T4 sound better than my Genos when I play it.
Been listening to him for a few weeks and can't figure out how it gets it to sound so good because I never rated my T4.
That Hammond sound is so convincing and mine never are so he must be a master of sound edits.
Just shows that the musician is more important than the instrument.

Well, you probably know it better than I do, since I never had T4, but there're some expansion libraries for it, such as "EURO & US ORGAN", which is quite pricey ($169), maybe he used those, I don't know.

The pack you mention (and also 'Euro Organ Artist') have some great organs and also nice addon styles.
(I got some packs for my T4, and could download free packupdates for Genos.)
The style he use for 'Laras Theme' seems to be from the Euro & US pack, Euro Shuffle.
He states clearly there is no midi and backingtracks, just the T4 and the possibilites it has.
But I also think he edit and tweak a bit to make it sound 'his way'. smile

What I noticed mostly was that his Rotary (Leslie) effect really sounded like a Leslie speaker and Yamaha's own standard settings, even on the Genos, are sadly lacking in this respect.
I played many different organs through Leslie cabinets for years and they all had that unmistakeable sound which arrangers all fail to do justice to (Yamaha being the worst).
I wish I knew Paul's settings.

To me it sounds like an expression pedal is used to control the volume of the organ.

Thats the only way to play organ...
You can’t play organ witouth expression pedal...
Because you need the expression/volume pedal to make it sound dynamic

Anthony, if you look at this thread by KeyboardByBiggs at PSR Tutorial forum, there may be some thing of interest regarding add leslie effect at Genos.

Thanks Gunnar,
They look very interesting and sound like a Leslie sim should.
Will look further into this.
Glad that others agree that Yamaha should have done the job properly on it's flagship keyboard.
Would still like to know how Chromatic Paul achieves his sound though. The guy's a real class act.
