Just wondering if these would work on the PA4x?
I don't know the differences in sound mapping, i know the PA4x has quite a few more sounds..
But if the remaining sounds are on the same place, it could work.

Jimmy,

No PM but I seem to recall there was an email from you.
Trust you have meanwhile gotten hold of my Resources for the
PA1000, if not mail again to: pasounds@zeelandnet.nl

Bachus,

No joy with the PA4X really. Worse even not even a lot of joy with using my new Resources on the PA700. The lay-out and structure of both engines differ enough to create multiple problems in particular with my forte in programming: Registrations ( former "Performances") now saved in Songbook and Setlist.

regards
John

Guys,
I bought John's "Resources" for my little Korg Microarranger and I can tell you they were awesome! The KMA was a very good arranger but John's resources really turned it into a
really killer sounding keyboard. If I had a Korg I would buy John's resources again.

Thank you Deane for your kind comments. I know that you and many others at the time were quite pleased with my KMA efforts.
Nowadays as I mentioned on an earlier thread people are truly spoiled for choice hence that I have decided to offer my new Resources for the PA1000 initially for free, always hoping of course they will value my efforts and reward me accordingly.
There is no doubt in my mind that most if not all factory Songbook entries can be vastly enhanced and that goes for may sounds and styles as well. The difference between selecting a factory songbook entry and a JSS songbook entry is apparent from the moment go. That is not to say it will all be to your liking as it is quite impossible to cater for all tastes and within the scope of approx. 100 hours of programming. Still bit by bit folks are beginning to value my efforts, give them a try and reward me accordingly.
The PA1000 is a great keyboard and with a future major update similar to the big PA4X update it will definitely remain a serous contender in the MOT arranger keyboards, next to the PSR975 and the Ketron SD7.

kind regards
John

This is something Korg needs to solve compatibillity between instruments, Yamaha and Ketron have this covered a lot better.

I would have really loved to try your resources.

Actually Bachus Korg had it covered quite well in the past when e.g. I had the PA80 which was the "less professional "version of the PA1X , and even with the much acclaimed PA800 which was identical as far as basic samples, sounds and styles with the professional PA2X. They started messing about with the PA3X verus PA900 and now with the PA4X versus the PA1000. Probably afraid the lower ends here would get too much for the buck. Shame also as indeed there is little or no point in trying my Resources for the 4X or the 700......

John
