I don't need anything.....but I always want something... Does that make any sense? smile

I rely on my advisors for opinion to help make decisions crazy

For my Roland decisions I consult my best contact...ME!!!! smirk

For my recent Korg questions and advice.. I used Uncle Dave.. grin

For my Ketron advice.. I rely on current Ketron owners opinion.. wink

I was thinking about the Korg PA1000.. After discussing this with Dave.. It would not benefit me in any way , over what I already have available to me.. Keep in mind this is a want factor and not a need factor..

Myself advising ..myself on Roland.. I conclude although I "want" an EA7 again, it is something I do not need… at all smile

My strongest "want" products are the Ketron SD40 and Yamaha Genos..

I don't need either one... but they are on the top of my "want" list..

I have the G70 as my top preference to Play on the job or studio..

I have the Roland Go keys as a Bluetooth set up, Roland sound source with my DAW and a quick play keyboard...

I also have the Code61 as my second keyboard to use with my DAW, Go keys and G70. The Code 61 delivers as a controller with features and key feel..

It makes sense for me to stay with the VST/soft synth approach.. I have decent programs to use these...

So I have pretty much talked myself out of buying anything new... unless someone wants to trade me a Genos for a Go Keys.. grin

Since vocals mean very little to me... I will pass grin

I rather just play the Go Keys pure electric piano patch.. more enjoyable and satisfying smile

I actually rather listen to a piano player than someone singing over a production background.. wink

Two questions Fran...
Does the Go Keys have an arranger engine? i.e., does it recognize chords and transpose a style-based accompaniment in real time?? NOT looking to trade, just curious.

Also: the PA1000 and some other Korgs have a Chord Sequencer (originally a Roland feature.) The only recent Roland to have a C.S. was the now-discontinued BK-9. Aren't you a little curious about what the chord sequencer would add to your gigs?

Maybe stay where you are, untill there is something you really really really want?

Thats where i currently am.

I have never been a fan of 2 arrangers on top of eachother, as they will both offer the same things.

If you would choose the SD40, i would add a Jupiter 80 as the Roland soundsource.
If you choose the Genos, add an Integra 7 as the Roland soundsource.

Happy with the G70, just add more VST's, they will allways work no matter what keyboard you play.
If you want more keys for those VSTs's add the Native instruments komplete kontrol mk2.
Or add a nord stage 3 compact on top of the G70.

So many ways one could go, but having 2 arrangers would not be my choice.
Unless you are not happy with the style quallity of the G70 and only want to use it for Roland sounds.
Which seems not the case.

Ted the Go keys is an entry level. Looper style keyboard.Somewhere around 1,300 loops on board, yes there is chord recognition. As for the chord sequencer.. I used a G1000 for ten years. Bachus,I am in agreement with you.

So Fran, and others, who use both, what do you trust more for live work, hardware or software arranger? For that top shelf gig that absolutely has to go right??
