About the 4X, even 76. I have them side by side, through the same mixer and I just feel the 3X is much more powerful in its beauty. I have tried and tried to set this thing up and still not overly impressed.

The 4X has me thinking in a different direction. Maybe unload and get something totally off the wall.....

I'm almost willing to trade for a NEW 3X76 and then I can have a backup for my aging one. I'll wait for the 5X.

Back to work on it. Hopefully I'll see the light, dunno?

I would trade for a Genos, but not sure anyone else would smile I haven't had Yamaha since my beloved 3000, which was really good as a live board, even back then.

Donny sure is anxious for you to spend 4,000. plus for a Genos. smile
I wouldn't trade my PA4X even for a Genos. Well, yes I would, but then I'd sell the Genos and buy two more Korgs with the money!

I'm not going to trade my Genos unless it fell apart crazy and I have to get a new one, but rather add a PA?X-76 later on.
Have a feelig that it will be top of the tops mix and keep me busy for the rest of my life. smile

Don he would just be selling what he has & buying something else not uncommon at all,.....you never know the GENOS could be Zuki's answer to all his struggling, if anything at least it's worth a try for happiness...I wish him luck.

It's all good smile No big deal here. I would like a T576 also. I would use this for studio work, original material, CD, etc.

Not yet Don.....maybe some day If I ever see one around or maybe in a store etc,.. I will play it,....
at this point I am happy with the Pa1000 & don't see me changing anytime soon...
but if I was still playing NH gigs I would consider GENOS for sure just for its style versatility why not, with all the different NH themes shows it's a no brainer?... I had every other Yamaha thru the years and made each one of them suit my needs why shouldn't genos be the same.

Not forking out any more money on this stuff. I wasted a few months mapping and now back in the 3X saddle smile and loving every minute (sure some shake their heads in disbelief).

So, a trade for a T5 76 would be of interest, really nothing else I can think of within $$ range.

Nah, Genos too much. If I can land a T5, with the 76 bed (not interested in 61), I would really get busy in the studio.

The 3X is live forever, as long as it lasts. Too much great success to knock the past. I need to do some studio work.

Zuki, if you're talking studio duty only, maybe a workstation might serve you better. Controller with VST's is another possibility. If you feel weak in some areas (like drum programming), there are tons of drum software (including the 'live' drums in BIAB) which would solve that problem. Putting something together with multi-tracking is very rewarding and lots of fun. Lots of folks here make their own backing tracks. Just a thought.

Very true and I have experience in this over the years. But getting lazy I guess. Would really love to have the bread and butter of the Tyros and utilize many many styles - nothing complex. The trade off is not having those amazing ethereal sounds to die for, but could pick up a cheap MX for those.

Gee, I just got an order via UPS, the bad news she wasn’t the delivery lady.

Jim,

Sorry to hear you’re disappointed with the 4x, I’m surprised to hear that, but hey different strokes for different folks. I just finished a rehearsal for an upcoming gig using the Pa4x. Hmmm, every time I play it I think I have to give it a one up on Genos FOR LIVE PLAY. As great as Genos sounds and is, there’s just something about the live controls/vocal harmony/mic controls that is tough to beat. So on a scale of 1 to 10, I give the Pa4x a 10 and the Genos 9.9, it’s that close in my opinion.

I just want to reiterate the words for LIVE PLAY.
