I store frequently-used small items inside it. Mine was an "original" model, was just the right height for when I played pedals; even though I don't use pedals often anymore, I still like the seat. Spring loaded backrest fits right against surgically repaired lumbar spine providing support. Super quality build, it's a little bit bigger then I thought But, Very comfortable even after a few hours sitting or half standing, and Very adjustable to any situation, back rest is adjustable & comfortable too.
