Based on this comparison video.. I find myself preferring mostly the sound of the Yamaha..

Neither of the keyboards entice me, I cannot warm up to them..

At $2,000 I want more..

Moving up to the Tyros5 or PA4x would be a improvement... but I think the over priced Genos out classes all of them..

Listening to other youtube videos... I think if you are thinking PA1000 or the PSR 975... I would consider Deane's SD7..

Fran,

We have been here before quite a few times.
I will have my first JS Musical Resources for the PA1000 ready in about 10 days. I am not saying it will do miracles but it will certainly enhance the sonic quality etc. of the Korg PA1000.
The more I play and program the more I like it. Its potential is huge. Apart from that it comes down imho whether you are a singer or not, and whether you are a performer or home player.
Of these two boards and as a singer ( performing or not) I would definitely go for the PA1000, not knocking the PSR mind you.

regards
John

John ,my comments were based only on the comparison video of the sounds..

If I had to choose one of these boards ( to own) it would be the Korg, for many reasons.. (features and key feel primarily).

Well said.
In the ever ongoing argument which is better we forget that people use the KB in different ways and therefore have different needs.
Well put wink
Eric
