Who knows? They might be suitable for rehearsal in a permanent place. There are several (larger and smaller) configurations from this company, but this one seemed the most 'general purpose'. The handful of reviews were all very positive but I wouldn't go strictly by that. I thought some of you might have some first-hand experience with them. You gotta' admit, the price is right.

Too heavy for this old codger at 44 pounds each. When my Barbetta Sona 32SCs which weighed 32 pounds each began feeling too heavy, I opted for the Bose L1 with a single sub.

Donny, if you know something about them that causes you to say "Buyer Beware", then you should share it with us. On the other hand, if you DON'T know anything about them, why badmouth them? Same with the FREE Cakewalk download; it was just put up as a public service; nobody was actually pushing it. Makes people reluctant to share anything.

As for the weight, I said from the beginning they might be good in a permanent installation, such as a rehearsal space. I thought maybe the price would make that feasible for some, assuming they passed the audio test. In any case, the purpose of my post was to find out if anyone had any first-hand experience with them.

Chas I have kept an eye on the Rockville stuff since the Podium days..

They were cheap and I still use them ...so why not Rockville.. I almost bought the Rockville 10's several times...They keep changing features.. Go for it and let us know about them...
PS I just ordered another high end battery powered PA... smile

Fran, stop spending your kid's inheritance. BTW, I've still got a pair of Podium 8's. I used them as satellites on my Traynor K4 (with my old Nord C1) for gigging. After I got the C2D, I bought a 3300 and they're now retired (or available smile ). What did you think of the SOUND of the Rockvilles? Pro quality? With the two subs, I thought it LOOKED like a heck of a deal, but the proof is in the sound. Any real reason for "Buyer Beware", such as build quality, component quality, electronics, etc.? I was considering building a new rehearsal space and thought these might be 'rehearsal' quality at a good price. Thanks.
