If I have a large number, I go through the categories I think I would use, then go through them one by one to bring a song to mind. Conversely, if I need a style for a particular song, I look at the most logical category and choose the closest. There are times, however, when I want a more modern beat to a standard, and look to different styles, or, I may go to a "Music Finder" to see what they suggest, if I am not sure of the song.

Over the years, I have managed to accumulate more than 55,000, of which the vast majority are mediocre at best. I listened to and played every variation of every one of those styles, then made a determination of which songs they would sound good with, then renamed them to the song title. This provided me with about 3,800 styles that were now song specific. When I need a style for a specific song, I just look it up by the song title in the list of styles. Good luck, Gary
