By the way Russ, I’ve heard a person can put a digital back on some medium format cameras?

Cameras and arranger keyboards have a lot in common - they're only as good as the person behind them.

One of the most famous outdoor photographers on the planet and a longtime friend, Lefty Kreh, taught me a lot about photography. He had a couple books published on the subject, and I have them here in my office. He placed a huge emphasis on composition, particularly foreground options and until 15 years ago, he used nothing other than Nikon cameras and lenses. He stuck with Nikon when he switched to digital and has sold hundreds of thousands of photos, including thousands of magazine covers to many prestigious publications, including National Geographic.

Lefty passed away yesterday from congestive heart failure at age 93. He was a living legend in the outdoor world and I will miss him more than I can describe in mere words.

Rog, Nice set of photos, I haven't posted many photos to my site lately but here's a link to some work I've done in the past:

Steve...like the old car photos. My son has an old/specialty car club. You qualify if you own a 25 year old plus car or a specialty car (Mustang, Miata, etc.).

I have a 1985 Riviera and a 2002 Miata. We have show and drives to raise money for good causes; usually involving a little kid who needs help.

Like your photos. I never get to take any just for fun.

Actually, except for using a 2 1/4/' roll film, the loading, lens exchange, metering and shooting with a Pentax medium is just like shooting most 35mm film cameras. No learning curve. Square format cameras are a little different, but nothing you couldn't master in a 1/2 hour.

Pentax mediums look a lot like the old Spotmatics from the late sixties/early 70's. That's the camera that replaced the Crown graphics in the media business.

Actually, all Adams work was with large format (minimum of 4"x5")
view cameras.

Russ, Thank you!

Great roof line on the '85 Riv, haven't seen too many Miatas at the local shows.

I'm a fanatic for going to classic car shows, I love 'em. Here in RI during the summer there are cruise nights just about every night of the week, on the weekends there are 2 separate DJs who host the classic car shows. Some nights and shows are much better than the others but I settled on some favorites, even have a few in Central Florida I go to when we are there.
