Casio CTX700 review, translated from German.

Sounds like well spend money...

I've checked the manual and have to confirm that there seems to be no way to adjust volume of dual and split voices, just as the review stated. I imagine what a bummer that will be for future users and what an impression it will form for them of Casio's approach. No such surprises with PSR-E363, which costs about the same. It is like if Casio is careless on purpose, or perhaps this is how companies like Yamaha hold their positions - they make fewer mistakes.

A good reason to play a keyboard live...in person..if you are considering a perchase. YouTube videos can be informing, fun to watch....but tell me very little about the real sound of a keyboard.

Especially true for me listening to videos(oxymoron?) of Genos.

😊

The question is a purpose of using. If the intention is a personal enjoyment of playing, so a personal playing is a criterion to judge. But if it’s about playing for others or making recordings, so it can be useful to judge the sound from a distance, also with an ordinary and below ordinary equipment, because this is the way “ordinary” people listen to the music, and I’ve got to admit that these “ordinary” people still tend to notice the quality of end product, if not consciously, then unconsciously, That’s why I’m more interested in YouTube demos right now then in playing it myself. In its own way it can be misleading, but in some other way it helps to be cold-hearted. Personally I notice that I fail to judge objectively an instruments I've been using for years because there's some kind of bond has been formed and some kind of perception filter appeared. Well, we're all people.
