redface sometimes the obvious escapes us (ME!!! redface ) ...
I was looking to see if there was a way to take one style from my Pa900 and put it on the USB ... when I got to the step of pressing 'SAVE' and saw the folder 'ALL' I didn't think about opening the folder and 'drilling down' to the style I wanted to put on the USB ...
Just me having a brain fart !!!

thanks all ...

Question - can you load 4X styles into the 1000? Thinking not?

Yes you can Jim, that is not a problem. You can even add those PA4X styles that are missing to the factory protected style section so that basically the factory styles will match those of the PA4X.

I have only had the PA1000 for less than 24 hours and therefor my first observations should be taken with a pinch of salt.
On the positive:
The keybed is not as bad as expected and at least better than the PA700.
The DRUMS are absolutely great in every sense of the word.
The TC Vocal harmonizer works great too and although reputedly the same as on for instance the PA800 ( my alltime favourite Korgie) it sounds better, I think.
Pianos have improved but only marginally I think. I've done away with evaluating pianos on arranger keyboards, I find that my very old yamaha P80 piano simply plays and sounds better. Although I must admit that the Genos has impressive pianos and elec. pianos.
SOUNDWISE apart from the significant boost of the drums, the most striking improvements are imho in the Brass section, and to a lesser degree in the guitar section.
On the downside so far : OUT OF THE BOX it simply sounds crap, full stop !!! The songbook is a joke, I cannot imagine many folks in a shop being taken aback by the overall performances by listening to any of the songbook entries. Probably the salesmean will have to push the demo buttons, haha !!!
So in other words, this baby needs an incredible amount of in depth tweaking, in other words I will be offline for the next few months frown
Finally as regards the amplification and speakers. A significant better amplification than the PA700 but not on par with the famous Korg PA800.

regards
John

Hi Donny,

Not sure whether it will be a keeper but I would say that the odds are good. Definitely no Genos for me....The PA1000 set me back roughly half the price of a PA4X(+speaker), go figure.....
I still have not come across a lot of truly in depth tweaking of these PA series so I guess there is work to be done......

regards,
John
