I wonder how many here using an arranger KB with the Hammond sound work with these percussion features when playing it surly adds alot of character to the sound as demonstrated..I surely learned something watching them..

I thought that using percussion was a given. Most pop, rock, jazz B3 'emulations' require it. Otherwise it's going to sound like skating rink organ.

Yes its a skill you must acquire and practice when to use it for sure....sure does sound sweet when done right!

Always used it on the B3 and still use it all the time on the BK9. Can't play a Hammond sound without it.
Back before digital pianos there was a guy who could get a decent piano emulation on a Hammond with the Percussion. But my music teacher told me every time he walked around the bar to see what it was he got iff of it. Jimmy Smith taught some of the other soon to be great players how to use it and they all copied him . We still use that Jimmy Smith setting today.

Talking M100 for a moment, a trick I'd use sparingly was flipping on the 2nd harmonic then gradually squeezing down the 3rd harmonic tab. It used to bring in a really biting, almost distortion, sound. Fun times.
