The few DJs and KJs that I know, personally, use the Bose PAS system and the L1 Mod II system. They stopped using conventional speakers when they first heard the Bose L1 PAS. And, now they no longer use CDs - they're all using PCs or tablets to store their music. All the best, Gary

Having heard one, Bill, I agree. It would be just fine for living room parties and very small NH or restaurant audiences, but nothing larger. Far better, economically, to purchase a couple Maui 5s. For me, personally, I preferred the sound of a pair of L1 Compacts, but this is a very subjective thing. All the best, Gary

For me, personally, I preferred the sound of a pair of L1 Compacts, but this is a very subjective thing. All the best, Gary LD Systems makes some incredible sound systems for sure give Frank a Call at Audioworks.com for great deals.. http://www.ld-systems.com/ On my last trip to Europe I had the chance to try all line array systems side by side in a large music store. First of: wow! Much bigger than guitar center. They literally had everything: all arrangers, synths, pianos etc. I wanted to mainly hear the Maui28G2... First up was Bose L1 compact. AS expected sounded great. Second up was JBL EON1. Sounded great too. Next was Maui5. It was disappointing to me.My guess was it needed to be EQ'ed correctly. Next up BoseL1 model II. It lacked a bit mids and warmth which I am used to from my Bose Compact. Next up was the Maui 28G2. Wow. It had everything I was looking for: clear highs great mids and enough oomph in the sub for a dance without being overpowered. Only almost a third of the price of the big Bose. Don't get me wrong. I am a big Bose fan. However the Maui convinced me. I already talked to Frank and will get it sometime in the near future Well worth the money in every way. Eric
