There is a feeling these days that over the last year or so, bad behavior is becoming 'normalized'. I think the same thing is happening to bad music. I think we are losing our sense of 'quality' and that we have become more and more accepting of the poor and mediocre 'product' that has been put out there for public consumption. By 'product', I mean quality of sounds, creativity in arrangements, and quality of performance. But yeah, I liked the Beringher mixer too.

smile smile smile love the sign. Okay, back on topic. I didn't love the 'Hammond' sound on the EA7, but as an arranger, it's probably a good bang-for-the-buck.

Not digging the organ sound as much as the "Style"
I wonder if the EA7 styes are backwards compatible with my BK9 ? And does it have full size keys ? I thought they were smaller.

Chas the EA7 has amazing organs sounds your only hearing one here and quality video and audio input isn't the best here either.

listen too a few of these in the demo.. headphone

Like I said, great bang-for-the-back and yes, the sound is much improved and some of the styles sound great ('cool blues' style sounds song-specific for that Gary Moore tune) but the 'B3' sound is still a long way from the TOTL clonewheels. It's like someone took a great-looking hunky guy and turned him into a Eunuch; looks (sounds) great on the outside, but no b---s. But not much worse than the 'Hammond' in most arrangers. Maybe I'm super critical because I listen to great hammond sounds every day.

One other thing. In most, but not all, of these demos, the strength of the demos is largely based on a great 'RIGHT HAND'. But in fact, how many arranger players play that well? Your results will most definitely vary. smile smile

Bill, the styles will play in the BK9.... you will have to find a substitute drum kit for some styles.... since the E-A7 has more, newer kits not found on earlier arrangers..

I saved the styles from the E-A7 (not an easy adventure).... Let me know what styles you want and I will email them to you..

Bill let me also add that many of the older Roland Styles really sound terriffic in the EA7 also....sometimes just a few tweaks in the makeup tools and your on your way....
The EA7 definitely flew under the radar bypassing many who have no clue what it's all about,
...I thank Fran for opening MY eyes...
