Im totaly addicte to the genos. Ist the most fantastic keyboard ever build. You can create every sound you can emagine. Next project is hans zimmerman with the soundtrack of crimson tide

ok great that's a big statement! what do you tink about its competitors like korg Pa4x & Ketron SD9?...may I ask what arranger KB you were playing before Genos?....

I tried the korg, made some styles but wasnt able to create the sound i wanted. The genos u can create every sound you want. Before genos tried the tyros but to poor for me. After my wersi organ decades ago this is the first instrument i realy enjoy. Ithere is untill now no limitto my creativity. And with new software comming next montg, there wil be some great new features. I started at age 5 on piano but didnt play any keys for more then 20 years . Thatks thrue the genos i found the music virus again.
Even the devolepers from yamaha are in contact with me for finding out new features.

Looking at various demonstrations on Utube of the Genos,I didn`t notice any speaker grills on the keyboard.Does it have to have seperate speakers?

Hi Terry, and welcome to SZ. The Genos does not have internal speakers. Yamaha has an optional speaker system designed for it, but there are far better options for less money!

There is a speakersound for the Genos, sub with two top. With atachemenet to the Genos.
We upgraded the speakers with KRK Rockit 5 and Sub8. Sounds way better

There is just a new firmware available for the Genos. A lot of new features and improvements. A new cool feature is importing audio in your created style...
