Donny, from what I have read, the Genos does save the transpose to the MFD.

Tthere’s no longer a Music Finder on the Genos. Instead any registration you save can be added to a Playlist. That is Yamaha’s new system. The Playlist is very similar to Korg Songbook, you can have any number of songs in multiple playlists. With that said any registration you put in a playlist key changes come along just because you are using a registration. That part is no different a registration is a registration. In my opinion the “goose that laid the gold egg” is the ability to add registrations to playlists. Seems Yammie finally took a play out of the Korg Songbook feature.

As far as MFD files you can import them and can then they are imported into a Playlist. Each MFD entry is entered as a single registration in the number 1 position of the registration bank. From that registration imported from the MFD system you can build on that registration and if needed you can fill all 10 buttons with what you need. As a side note you can order the playlist of tunes/SMFs/audio files in any order you choose.

One thing I did leave out you can add tags to the registrations, tags simply being genre, era 60s, 70s etc., jazz, show, rock, dance etc. They included a search feature too so you can search by any criteria including the name of the registration. They have come miles with this new system.

Fonts are bigger than what we’ve had on the PSR and Tyros series.

Donny, You’re welcome, with 10 entries per page it is easier on the eyes.
