Jerry Silberstien posted a method of adding the Technics style to a midi file. Jerry passed away this past year, he was one nice person. I feel Jerry had a great idea. I can download a midi file and use it in my Tyros and it is acceptable. If I put it in my KN7 and use Jerry's method, they sound much better. If there is interest, I will outline the procedure.

Absolutely, John.
I've tried converting midi files to Technics and the results have been less than satisfactory. Any additional hints or methods would be appreciated.

Can I ask - are we all talking about the same thing here...?
John you seem to be referring to 'a method of adding the Technics style to a midi file'; whereas Walt seems to be talking about converting a midi file into a Technics file....
Same thing or different thing?

Rog, A midi file converted to a Technics midi file -- then adding one of the Technics built in styles so they both can play together giving you an opportunity to add what you wish. DRUM FILLS, ECT.

A learning curve for some? Yes. Is it a lot of work and effort? Yes,-- but what an opportunity to leanr more about the keyboard.
And for those who love their keyboards will have another way of relating to them.

take care, John C.
