Called my repair guy tonight ... he said the keyboard is fine -no connectivity problems ... checked my speaker cables - no problems ... so he put the speakers back on the bench and started jiggling cables, connections, whatever and at some point the power turned off ... he checked the connections for the power supply and found they were a little 'flimsy' ... he reworked the power supply connections on both speakers and they now work fine ... I will give them a good test over the weekend, but things should be good ...
thanks for all the well wishes ...

BTW ... I haven't touched the Kn6000 in ages (my bad) and going back to it in case I needed it next week was really strange ... now, I haven't spent more than a few minutes at it, but I couldn't quite remember how the heck I went seamlessly from one song to another ... I am thoroughly spoiled by the KORG Songbook feature ...

Good news. I also had problems with what's called cold solder connections on an amp board.
Good luck with your gigs

Tony,

I'm glad to hear Butch solved your problem, great news! smile

This morning the temperature here it's 46 degrees in the north meanwhile, Bel Air, Md it's 39 degrees and in Central Florida 51, I'd say we're having some decent weather in the north. Lookout though, in a few days it's possible to have a snow storm.

I don't know where in Florida you got the reading of 51 degrees as I live in Port Richey (central Fl.) and we have a reading of 63 degrees with a high temp. of 80 degrees.
The Genos loves the warm weather ! Lloyd

Lloyd,

That was in Ocala at 7 AM, it can be cooler there during the winter months.
