Sorry, I think I’ve asked this before but I’m not sure if it was on this Forum.

My speakers out(1r/2L) don’t shut off when I plug in my headset. My external speaker continues to sound even after my headphones are plugged in.

Thoughts?

I’ve researched the 4X manual, did forum searches and I can’t find anything on it. I know if I had a PAas that would cut out when I plug in a headphone.

Tx for any advice.

The PA4x has no speakers, so there's nothing to shut off when a HP jack is inserted.

This is from the Pa900 Manual under 'HEADPHONES' ... I am not sure it works the same for the Pa4X:
When connecting a jack to this connector, the integrated speakers are automatically turned off. The AUDIO OUT will however
continue to work.

I will sometimes plug a jack into the headphone connection just to hear how the external (audio out) speakers are working ...

Tony, it looks like it’s the same on the 4X. The L/R outs continue to put out a signal even if a headphone jack is inserted.

Unfortunately my Pa900 isn't in the house, so I couldn't do a live test, but I remember that was how it worked on other KBs I've had, including technics ...
