"Now THAT’S an interesting question – and I have a very good answer: Genos is compatible with Tyros! To be a bit more specific, Registration Memories, Multi Pads, Songs from Tyros2 or newer… they’ll all load in and work with Genos! Actually, it was remarkable, I loaded in my Tyros5 Registrations a few weeks ago and I’ve never heard them sound so good!"

Ian, I have heard this before from someone who was at one of the showings. They did in fact load some older Tyros styles and my source said they sounded much better on the Genos. We all know what "better" means is a personal choice so I guess we will see.

Donny, it will depend upon the format of the style - most likely they will work on older models, but of course, some of the newer voices only found in the Genos will not play on the older models because those voices do not exist in the older model and cannot be accessed.

To anyone who loaded T5 styles onto a Genos, I'm wondering if it is such that your old T5 Reg. uses only the "legacy" sounds (T5 sounds that are considered "legacy" on Genos? For example, if you had a Registration that used the Concert Grand piano, does that Registration use that same piano, or does it automatically call up the "CTX" piano?

I'm curious also on styles. If I have a REg. from T5 that used an Audio style, what happened to that Reg. on the Genos? I kind of remember that when I moved from T3 to T5, my reg's "worked" but I needed to do a lot to them in order for them to utilize the newer sounds, and newer default effects settings for sound, on the T5.

Thanks!
Jim

Does anyone know if the Genos will play 2-bar measures, without getting the auto-rhythms out of sync?

Does anyone know the pedal configuration for the GENOS? Does it accept the MFC10 footswitch?
