I am looking into buying a MIDI/USB controler keyboard with knobs? Any suggestions either 49 or 61 note. I have looked at Ediorl, Evolution and MIDIMAN all seem good but I am having diffcluty decideing which one too buy? I know Midman's oxygen 8 is cheap but it has a small keyboard, and the pitch bend knobs are on the top of the front pannel not on the left side of the keyboard. Also will the work with any virtual synth?

Paul, MIDI messages are pretty much standardized. Any MIDI controlling device should be fine as long as it is properly configured overall. Keep and eye out in pawn shops for fantastic deals on MIDI controllers.

As far as the knob thing, I just don't know these days. I have not kept up w/ controllers. Uncle Dave would probably know though. Maybe he will read the posting.

Well with all the software synths that have virtual knobs. It was sbout time someone manufacture a synths with knobs. Which is easier to tweak a knob then to use a mouse to turn a virtual one.
