I am going to try to get my church to purchase a Genos with the monitor speakers for the Contemporary service I play for. Not sure if they will go for it. But if I don't ask, I'll never know!!

The point is, it is a "pig in a poke" as they say in the South. NOBODY but a handful of dealers has seen it. Nobody knows what it does. Nobody knows what it sounds like. Nobody knows if the OS is new or the same old stuff. Nobody knows if the vocal harmonizer is finally decent.
It's your money though. Spend it as you see fit! I hope it's a wonderful new arranger.

Don, the same could be said for the PA4X, with the same type of speculation prior to it getting to the dealers and into the hands of players. Yamaha has a great reputation and I have no doubt it will be a fantastic keyboard - but like everyone else, I have no idea at all - just guessin'

I don't know about you, Donny, but I always kept my Christmas presents and enjoyed them for many years. Maybe it's because you kept getting that lump of coal in your Christmas Stocking.

There was actually very little warning that the 4x was being released. I bought a second 3x just two weeks before the release and I would never had done that had I know the 4x was coming. I had to buy the 3x because the SD7 wouldn't work right.

For all those hard core Pa4X owners, I think it will be interesting to see how many, if any, will (eventually) spring for the Genos, after the dust settles and it’s clear to all what it is and what it can do. Surely, they wouldn't buy the Genos and keep it a secret.

Yea, but don't forget that many times a person will gush about a recent purchase to justify to themselves their monetary outlay, whether or not they're totally happy about it. Happens often with any big ticket item, keyboards, cars, etc.
