I gave that exact same seat to Joe Ayala a few years ago because it had been sitting around in my office collecting dust for years. I didn't like it because it didn't have a back rest, which I considered a necessity with my bad back. I switched to this one for a couple reasons. It positioned me higher, almost to standing height, provided me with a foot rest and back rest, and I modified the seat and made it about 30 percent larger and twice a thick to make it more comfortable. The only downside is the seat weighs about 28-pounds and you can catch your fingers easily when folding it up for transportation. If you setting up,quick make sure,those spring clips are fully inserted,into the holes and screwed tight. They tend to work their way loose . I've been using a memory foam seat cushion for years now when I play the piano. I wouldn't play without it sitting on my piano bench. Also just bought a memory foam pillow. Wonderful! It holds my head in place so I don't toss 'n turn all night. My next purchase will be a memory foam accordion. BTW......that bench Donny is talking about. I tried that at Sam Ash. I remember it because of the absolute comfort I felt immediately........soft and plush. You can't beat "soft and plush!"

I need to be fairly close and accurate as I am used to playing organ bench height for body posture but also the higher than piano bench height helps me baby some carpel tunnel. You'd be surprised at how much a couple inches makes with my hands. I'm over playing with numb and tingling fingers.
