Thanks guys for the suggestions, as a newbie to these digital recorders, how do I go about micing up style accompaniment and lead line ( in this case a midi accordion with built-in mics) Are there any inputs on this unit or do play everything thru an amp and record the output directly in front of the speaker with mics on recorder.Sorry but I havent got a clue on this.

The Tascam DR05 has stereo line inputs. Records either WAV or MP3.

Hi Mockie,.....here is a Sinatra medley I recorded using the Tascam DR5 a few years ago that I bought as per Don M recommendation playing my old Yamaha S950 on top of some Backing Tracks & Vocal thru the Tascam DR5 recorder which does a pretty good job as a stand alone unit once you set it all up correctly internally...enjoy!
