OK, let me share some simple wisdom!

When someone rolls a ball to you the game is over of you don’t roll the ball back. Amen!

If you touch the ball – comment in any fashion – or roll the ball back, the game continues.

Sorry but this is the way my mind works.
John C.

I agree. Did someone not return your ball?

I throw lots of balls, seems less and less people are even interested in the game...

Some days, being a spectator is just as much fun as being a player. wink

You have to throw the right ball to get a response, and as times have changed, the balls also need to change.
There is also the problem of forum overload, (Look back at the earlier days of SZ and you will find the manufacture specific threads were as busy as the General thread) which has exploded in recent years, thus the jam gets spread super thin.
I put a stop on joining new forums some time ago, as otherwise it would just have got ridicules.
While diversifying into new is good, diversifying the same (Which a lot of forums now do) is bad.
Happy posting
Bill

Also why doesn't more people rarely post their songs here on SZ or demo examples of what they are talking about, technics, sounds, styles, samples, or whatever,?
.....instead of mine is bigger then yours coffee
talk is cheap sometimes when describing things,...but pictures/videos say a thousands words and we all learn from it too, cool2 .....meanwhile on forums like Psr tutorial people post their songs etc, all the time,...go figure...?

I currently am a member of four internet forums, three of which are music, one sailing. I only post music regularly on one, though I have posted several songs here in the past, and recently, the only one I ever wrote. I always look forward to constructive criticism, when it comes. That's why places such as the PSR-Tutorial and Keyboard Player - Keyboard Forum are quite popular. Here, on the Synthzone, I sincerely believe players are reluctant to post their songs, fearing the responses they may receive from a tiny number of somewhat elitist members. My only advantage in posting here is everyone knows I'm not a musician, which I have stated many, many times - I'm just a hack entertainer and proud to be in that category. smile

Here's one I posted this afternoon on one of the other forums: This song was actually written by Cole Porter way back in 1935, however, it was re-released by a host of artists over the next several decades until 2012. I decided to do a disco rendition of it, which was very popular in the 1970s, in contrast to the 1950s renditions done by Sinatra, Tony Bennett, etc... Here's my disco rendition of Begin The Beguine

All the best,

Gary

Thanks guys, for the compliments. I used a custom Yamaha style for it that I have had around for years, but wasn't sure if it would work for this song. If anyone would like a copy, just email me and I will be glad to post it.
