You got all the help needed to solve your problem,
did'nt you?
Could it be so that if someone use a lot of time
to examine and learn about things, maybe also know
more about it than those of us who don't pay it as
much attention?

I'm very happy to that we have people like Alec who
so kindly use some of the time they have to help us
out.
Even if I don't have any KN7 yet, I pay attention and
I learn a lot just by reading the posts here.
Maybe I learn so much of it that I can help someone
to carry on as well as myself if needed in the future
too.
So why be so frown about it, just play and be happy,
the pedalset work well now, does'nt it?

As it turns out, I accidentally solved the problem myself after misunderstanding Alec's solution. I follow most of the discussions on this Forum and there is no doubt that Alec's knowledge of the keyboard is extremely helpful. It just seems a pity that practically every discussion we have has a habit of turning into nasty personal remarks. I certainly don't mean my postings to be like that.

If a case is made, a right of reply is to be expected. If a case is made with omission and disinformation it will be corrected.

Somebody starts a thread titled HELP because he has a problem .
Somebody qualified comes to his aid to help him with his problem but wait, that is not good enough for him so he accuses the helper and states that the helper is wrong.
so what has he achieved . He has alienated the helper and everybody witnesses that the asker is just arrogant and egoistic and nobody really wants to help him anymore so the moral of this story is you are on your own Mike ORegan

I think you're wrong here Johnnie.c, because one of the really
great/good things here at the forums are that we do all as we
can to help eachother.
This we see almost every day, so I'm pretty sure that Mike O'R
will get all the help he need if it's possible to solve any of
the problems whenever he need any.

Happy playing and problemsolving

Just read back through the thread and you will see just where the non appreciative and aggressive post originated

Members,

I look forward to this forum on a daily basis and have great respect for the members.

The one thing that destroys the content is this childish bickering. Many times in my lifetime friends have made comments that I did not consider appropriate. I try to un derstand that we all have different personalities and reserve comment. What do we gain by being argumentative.

Lets try to keep this forum on a civil plain and stop these comments.

Fran, you see it as childish bickering. I see it as it presents it’s self, arrogant and egotistical. In Mikes own words, quote: It just seems a pity that practically every discussion we have has a habit of turning into nasty personal remarks”. Why I ask? Why? In my point of view not only arrogance and egotism lies at the root but other traits such as negativism, jealousy and the like. This is not the first incident of this nature to occur. This one has to do with personalities. Others have been due to defaming our choice of instrument that we prefer to play. So, how should this be handled? Fran, you say you look forward to this forum on a daily bases and have great respect for the members. I also do, except for a rare few of the members. Just as one germ infiltrating a group of people gathered together can cause much discomfort and stress so can one of these negative attitudes. left unchecked, can do the same for this forum. Fran you prefer to live with this condition and try to understand the germ and let it live and do it’s thing. I boil this down to two courses of action, not passivity. The first is to resist and try to change the situation, the cause of discomfort and stress. The other and least preferable course of action I would pursue if it would not change, would be to leave this aggravation and look for new horizons.

Now Gunner, you know I greatly appreciate your contributions to the good of us all. I think, however, that there might be a small flaw in your last statement, quote: “One of the really
great/good things here at the forums are that ‘we’ do all as we can to help each other”. The only word/thought I would change is: ‘we’. Kind of keep in mind. One bad apple in a bushel can cause problems with the whole. Gunner, you are right, Mike might still get help if he needs it but as Johnnie said, ‘being arrogant and egoistic nobody really wants to help him anymore. I would like to stress the word ‘wants’. I think that is the sad part of the whole thing and as the old saying goes: You made your own bed so now you must sleep in it”. Sad but true.

I've no problem to see what you mean Johnnie and Douglas,
but both Johnnie and myself among others have been through
a lot of attention at this forum earlier on, and even if
we are stated out as "troublemakers", nobody have said they
won't help me, neither Johnnie as far as I know about.
Maybe a slight difference here, but anyway, a kind of the
same, it's the eye who see who make the judgement, and as
we know, we're all indeed different people

What I meant to say is that it is not any good solution to
stand up for all and say "we will not help you", but rather
that "if we don't see any change in atitude, you'll probably
be on your own, because nobody find pleasure in helping you
out if you continue this way".

OK, OK, many english lessons needed before I manage to be
any good writer, but I have a feeling about it's going a bit
better year for year...hopefully.
