Hi Zab and welcome to the Forum

The software you require was supplied on a CD called 'Applications and Drivers'. You can download the files which were on the CD, from my website : www.willumspages.co.uk - go to the Tech Tips page and select Tip number 15. Having downloaded the files, you can then burn a CD.
If you intend installing the USB Drivers, on your PC, you should also download Tech Tip 1 or 2 - depending on your Operating System - and follow the procedures carefully.

The 2600 Song Manager has extra functions compared to the 7k song manager to create sd cards direct from floppy disks and I saved this post and files from Alec Pagida when it was posted a long time ago, so after installing the 7k Song Manager Alec sent the files and instructions to convert 7k Song Manager to 2600 Song Manager and if you leave your email address I can post the files to you

Sorry I forgot to post this at the end of my post
Instructions for upgrade of Song Manager to ver 2.

Because the KN2600 has no floppy disk drive a new menu function was added to Song Manager which can copy floppy disks (or folders of files on the pc) to create a compatible sd card in an sd card reader. Successive floppies or files can then be copied to further folders or play lists of a working sd card, or added to a backup file. It is described on page 7 of the Help file.

Go to the Song Manager Program Folder which is usually located in the path \Program Files\Technics\KN7000\

create a folder called Ver1 and COPY (not move) and paste the 4 files

SongManager.exe
TechDig.dll
TechUsbService.dll
SongManagerE.pdf

from the Song Manager folder into the Ver1 folder.

Then create a folder called Ver2 and copy the contents of this zip into the Ver2 folder.

To upgrade to version2 COPY and paste the files in the Ver2 folder into the Song Manager folder and overwrite. The Start Menu shortcuts, any desktop shortcuts and menu Help will still work normally.

Because the KN2600 has no slideshow feature, there is no picture upload menu in Song Manager ver 2. If you ever want to go back to version 1 of the program for this function, COPY and paste the 4 files in the Ver1 folder into the Song Manager folder and overwrite. The program will revert to its original state. You can swap between the 2 versions as many times as you like by following these instructions.

Alec Pagida.

I have replied privately to Johnnie and informed him that I have not received his email with the files. However, I am experiencing problems with my email provider and several messages have not been received from other friends as well.

This morning, I did receive another email from Johnnie together with the attachment and I hope to add the files to my website, within the next few days.

Sorry Zab
But your email address is not in your profile (I previously looked) otherwise I would have sent the file before.
I can understand why you would not want to post your email address but then it was you that requested the file in the first place still as you say you will be able to get the file from Bill's webpage.

Sorry Johnnie my bad,
says a lot about how good I’m with the forum, sorry again, I’m a little exited about converting my KN2000, KN6000&KN6500 styles to my KN2600, not even sure how I’m going to like it . Per KN2600 reviews it shares the same sound engine as 7000, and some sites calls it the KN7000 younger brother. If not KN7000 what KN series keyboards you guys would compare KN2600 to?????
Thank you all
Zab
