Found out there is someone local that carries these. $2,500 or more.

Im not one for extra modules and hookups when gigging but, does anyone have the sd40 in stock in the USA at this time?..preferably I like it all in one with a KB...like the SD9.

Frank should have them in stock.... as well as AJ...

The SD40 is really small and nice... a little over 4 pounds.. it aint that much extra weight... but i can immagine the extra cables and a chance for them to break would be a worry for a gigging player... i remember its allways the cables

I had the Ketron Midjay and other assorted modules thru the years....
using controllers like the Roland A37 etc, etc, but who needs the extra setup hassles?.....in studio for recording I can see using it....

Thanx Phillip,.....I remember that Roland A37 had an excellent keybed also,..a great controller,..the Midjay was very innovative for that time especially letting the player use SMF,Style,Wav,Efx, Vocalizer all at the same tome controlled with sliders very kool

Donny, I had (still have - in the storeroom) an A33 (would run on a battery pack, remember) and an A70 (with sound card) in my 'studio' for playing VSI's, and Yamaha and Roland modules. The A70 has a great keyboard and still performs like new after all these years. Four midi outs - can't beat it.

SD 40 is a great machine,but like usualy from Ketron is unfinished instrument.Weighting for update is so,so,so long and
boring...
