Wow Nigel, you did a great job cleaning those pictures up. I just took a photo of them with my camera for Facebook. I planned to scan them later.
See guys, I wasn't always an old fat guy! smile

When I first met Don, he was a lot younger, tall and lanky. He had his keyboard stand adjusted as high as it would go, and he still had to bend over to play when he wasn't sitting on his drafting table stool. I think he tipped the scales at about 220 back then. Those were the days!

All the best, young man,

I won't see 220 again, but I'm on the way down to 240. Ten more pounds to go!
That was a Wurlitzer EP. Most of the time I sat down but we were doing a rock n' roll show and that was the Jerry Lee Lewis segment. Another guy did Elvis and Little Richard, another did Chuck Berry, the girl did a couple of girl singers. It actually was quite a production.

1/2 of the "Mutt and Jeff" show. Guess which 1/2 I'd be?

Lowery, Peavey, Leslie, Echoplex, EV mic. . . even an 8-track recorder on the shelf behind.
This was at a "piano" bar, with mirror behind so they could see my hands. This was a place called The Red Coach. I was there six nights a week for three years. It is still there but now called Lee's. DNJ and I went there when he was in town but it was too smoky to stay long! It's one of the few remaining places that still has live music every night. They don't serve food now, so smoking is still allowed. Not for me!
