Coming from a "PSR-DuJour", the keys will be an improvement ... well, maybe not the cheap Casio arrangers.

No comparison.....BK9 is twice the board of the 970...The advantage Donny knows the Yamaha, and fits his comfort zone....
6 months with a Roland will change all that grin

A side note...
If a player takes the time to learn and understand the EA7...it will out perform any Yamaha or Korg in common areas.. namely style composing, sampling, pads and phrase recording, media playback, SMF and style edits,.... and will run with the Korg in tone edits and drum edits..

I found the EA7 to be a surprising...bang for the dollar , and deep as you can get in functions...

Keep your eye out for the BK9 replacement....coming soon with EA goodies..

BTW: Do you know the EA7 world wide is the best selling arranger keyboard, just ahead of the Korg PA300.

Fran, it's the player that must perform - not the keyboard. This has been demonstrated so many times, here and on other forums. The keyboard does not perform, or outperform, anything - it does NOT perform. Only the performer performs. He or she is the entertainer - not the keyboard. Donny is a good entertainer, you know that and so do I. UD and Don Mason are good entertainers, the keyboard is nothing more than a sound machine. It the entertainer that makes it all come together - not the keyboard.

It's 5 O'clock somewhere! smile
