It’s a good day, I just got my Pa4x. Now the fun begins. I know the Pa900 fairly well. What’s different on the Pa4x in the basic areas? The keyboard is impressive. Looks strong – and a classy music rack, nice.

Where do you think I should start? I loaded my from my Pa900 SongBook – got titles but the styles were wrong. Loaded my Favorite styles successfully.

Don the EQ you set up in the Pa900 was good. Are you using the same EQ on the Pa4x?

It’s amazing how fast a mood can change from a frown to a silly smile when the Fedex man showes up.

Life is good, John C.

John ... Perhaps the factory styles are laid out differently from the Pa900? ...
Just a guess on my part ...

John....Don't forget to eat.
You have at least 10 days before I will be calling you for a demonstration. I'm sure Don, Steve and all the Pa4x guys are standing by to assist.
Eddie

ps--don't take any advise from DonM on April 1st.

You'll love it!
The styles are in different places, or not there or new, so the Songbook won't be right. I found it easier just to start over with an entirely new songbook.
There are some styles that I liked on PA3X and PA900 that weren't on the 4X, but they are available.
I am not using the same e.q. I will take a look at my settings and get them to you. Can't do it now because I left it at work.
There are some name changes. STS is now Keyset. Performances are history; they are now custom keysets, but work much the same. I use totally Songbook for all my setups. It is very powerful.
Too sleepy to do much tonight. Let me know as you get into it and have specific questions.

Enjoy your honneymoon...

There is so much to be loved in the PA4x

There is a setup list that comes with the songbook, that makes it an incredible powerfull feature.

It took me a long time to put 10 set lists in the S970. I did the same thing this morning in a fraction of the time. SongBook and set lists are a performer’s dream.

12 set lists; that’s 144 songs in the order you wish to play them. In 120 seconds I can reload another 12 set lists with 144 different songs.
This keyboard is interesting.
Thanks for all the support/help.

PS, Not for nothin’” but it is Italian made/designed.

John,

Congratulations on the Pa4X!! Enjoy!!

I agree with Don, actually he gave me the advice when I first got my Pa4x, it's better to rebuild your Songbook. There's nothing like Songbook, it's a performers dream as you have mentioned.

Have fun!! Good advice from Eddy too, don't forget to eat smile

I spent two hours last night listening to the styles in my Pa4x, awesome – they have to be the best I have ever headed.

Next is the is, “USER DIRECT”. I read some of the posts on a Korg forum, but they totally confused me. Anyone using it and how???

Life is better with a Pa4x, john C.

PS, I see features and styles that are in the Kn7000 in the Pa4x, nice.
