A friend sold a guitar on Ebay and is not sure now about how to send it. I told him I would ask the group here if anyone has ideas on boxing it.....packaging it......protecting it.....wrap it in aluminum foil and put a label on it?

Serious........any ideas I can pass on to him?

I would certainly wrap it a couple of times at least in bubble wrap and also box it and put a FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE sticker on the box.

My local Guitar Center gave me a guitar box to ship my guitar.

Get a guitar box shipper if you can and pack it tight.

I've shipped guitars to as far as Singapore from here in Minnesota.

Use FedEx .... NOT UPS.

I've saved lots of guitar boxes in the hope of using if I ever get the "B***S" to start selling some of mine.

You can also go to an independent UPS store. they have a carton that they will convert for an OK price. Shipment is about $60.00; not too bad, and you can buy insurance.

Thanks everyone. I went with the UPS or FedEx shipping.......and.....a guitar box (and "bubble wrap") from Sam Ash for info for my friend.

Sam Ash is probably the easiest way to go. I called them and they said they have tons of boxes and bubble wrap and to just come down and get the size you need. The friend is a non-musician so he wasn't sure just what to do. Now he IS!
