I had Sweetwater make me a 5' cable with a transformer built in. They do it in house. Before that, I used 2 short cables and put the transformer in the middle, so it could lay on the floor, and not put stress on the jack. The mic side used a standard XLR-XLR wire, then the transformer had XLR-1/4"F, so I plugged a short guitar cable into it. Wireless is a great option, if you have a mic you love, but for a stationary performer, it seems like a waste of battery usage, and more bulk to connect. Get the custom wire. Easy-Peasy.

No, you don't need to plug the mic into the keyboard, Tony. You merely plug the output of the wireless mic receiver into the mic input of the keyboard, which then allows you to use the vocal harmony and all the other keyboard settings. Now you know why I get the big bucks, Gary
