Don, sorry to hear you are having health problems. For a while, I was hoping Green Coconut Margarettas would cure most ailments, but that didn't work out.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Don your song is precious, thank you.
I am paraphrasing so that religion is kept out of the subject while offering some wisdom.

“Grant the ability to know what I can change and what I cannot change so that I can be reasonably happy”.

Aging can be a sad place, but that is a choice. Will my health be going downhill? Yes. How about my eyes? Yes, them to. So what’s to be happy about?
S
o a man was sitting on a log with a nagging miserable spirit on his left and a happy smiling spirit on his right. When they asked how does he know which spirit will grow; take over. He answered, “It depends on which one I feed”.

Don we are aging and our voices are not what they were – but just listening to your recording made me smile. Ya still got it Don. You are also still involved in music, what is a gift.

When I think of the days I played and the people out there got excited, and my voice led the excitement I say to myself that we were only four musicians, there were hundreds out there who will never know what I felt being out front. What a gift – and that’s the theme of my focus. I’m one lucky guy.

Sorry I got carried away again, John C.

Don, I listened to this when you first posted it, but failed to comment here.
As you know, I do know the nature of your illness, and as I have said privately, your faith will get you through it, so there can be no bad outcome! Trust the doctors to do their job and keep your positive attitude!
As others mentioned, your voice remains amazing my friend!

Don, I'm still shot to Hell, but I just try to find ways to cope with the pain and inability to breathe. There's a John Denver song about that "Some Days Are Diamonds, Some Days Are Stones."

Good luck,

Gary cool

Stay positive my friend! As far as I know a lot of coal was turned into diamonds from the growing pressure of thousands of years of build up of decomposing matter turning into soil, and consequently weighing down on the Carboniferous material so maybe we are "diamonds in the rough".
