Is anyone using a plethora of pedals when performing live? (Like the Mfc10 combined with an extra expression pedal and sustain/soft/sostenuto pedal combo).

In which case standing isnt really an option?

Or do you performing people prefer a simple set up when it comes to peddals?

Two pedals, connected at my right foot.
One is damper, one is vocal harmony on/off
I balance on my left leg more than I'd like, but the added showmanship, and standing face to face with my audience is worth it. If I was on a high stage more often, I might have rethought the position years ago, but as I stated before, I am most often on the same plane as my crowd.
If I played more organ, I'd love to have an expression pedal too, but that's a sparse luxury for me.

Harmony On/Off pedal on my left, damper on my right ... not a problem ... unless I got to use both at once - ooooops ...

Left pedal (drum)fill to self, middle paddle pitch bend (with faster chord progressions I can't use left hand for pitch bend wheel) right pedal harmony on/off.

I sit. Use FC5 pedals (5-button foot controller). I also have a sustain pedal and sometimes a volume pedal. I have Vocal Harmony on/off on button 1, text page down on button 2, sustain on button 3-in case of one-nighters and I don't have the separate sustain pedal-intro 3 on button 4 (for an extra fill) and break/fill on button 5. If I had more feet, I'd have more pedals.
I have the luxury of not having to tear down and set up except on rare occasions. I leave everything set up and all I do is walk in, uncover, plug in, turn on and play!

Related topic: I've recently been thinking about standing more in my recording studio work as I find myself sometimes sitting too long at my keyboard and iMac and want to continue using my primary equipment but alternating with sitting and standing during the day/night because it's healthier and burns more calories. So I 'm considering the following solution. For those who can't make up their minds "sitting or standing," here's a 5 foot long electric rising and lowering table that can carry 154 pounds, enough for my 88 keys synth, 27" iMac and additional gear. It 's probably too large (30" deep) for stage, but it could be a nice switch for studio work. I haven't seen it in person. I'm making an inquiry on AZ regarding how stable/non-wobbly it is). Stand, play and sing. Engage the audience, move as much as possible, keep it lively...works for me. Definitely better for my vocals (need all the help I can get). Just got back from a 15 gig week stint....all is good.

Jim, do you mean 15 gigs in a week, or 15 weeks of gigs? 15 in a single week is a pretty heavy schedule, but you're a young guy and can handle this kind of load.

LOL, thanks for the 'young' compliment. Music keeps me going and I load up when I travel. Actually did 16 jobs in 7 days.

2017 will be much the same, as I'm pretty much booked now.
